7-Eleven Enters Metaverse with Fortnite
7-Eleven in Metaverse
The popular American convenience store franchise, 7-Eleven, has teamed up with Fortnite to create an exciting car-themed game and scavenger hunt spanning three different virtual maps. This collaboration is causing quite a stir in the metaverse.
The hunting game will offer clues through the company’s Instagram profile to engage players. These clues will assist players in their mission to locate the three 7-Eleven-themed cars. Each car will contain a fragment of a map code, and once all three codes are collected, a unique map will be revealed. This map will be the ultimate virtual car gathering location on “There Car” Island.
On the virtual “There Car” Island, players can experience a virtual 7-Eleven store and gas station. While exploring the island, players can discover hidden surprises and Easter eggs.
7-Eleven has always supported its customers’ love for car culture. They feature customer car selfies, called ‘carfies,’ on their Instagram page. Additionally, 7-Eleven offers a variety of car-themed merchandise and even created its own Model 711 vehicle.
In this regard, Marissa Jarratt, 7-Eleven’s Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing & Sustainability Officer, said: “We are always keeping a pulse on our customers’ passion points so we can show up for them in unexpected ways. We’ve embraced our customers’ love for car culture by re-posting their car selfies, or ‘carfies,’ on Instagram, curating a collection of car-inspired merch, and even designing our own set of wheels with Model 711.”
7-Eleven has created an innovative experience that strengthens its connection with car enthusiasts while also appealing to wider audiences and new generations.
This is not the first time 7-Eleven has ventured into the Web3 realm. Last July, the company celebrated its 96th anniversary by releasing an exclusive NFT, demonstrating its dedication to cutting-edge initiatives.
