Abu Dhabi’s Twofour54 Aims To Build Metaverse-enabled Studio

Abu Dhabi-based media company, twofour54, plans to build a major film studio, twofour54 Studios, which is supposed to be a metaverse-supported studio.
On an area of more than 100 acres, the upcoming twofour54 Studios will be a fully-equipped production destination that is future-proof, virtual production-ready, metaverse-enabled, and capable of meeting the high demand in the regional and global production landscape.
The twofour54 Studios boasts an enormous space of 400,000 sqm (4,400,000 sqft). It is equipped with 11 high-quality soundstages, a 3,000 sqm (32,000 sqft) outdoor water tank, and six standing sets. Additionally, the studio complex offers 7,000 sqm (over 75,000 sqft) of office space and various production facilities such as post-production, permanent tenancies, and screening rooms.
Managing Director and CEO of ADNEC Group Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri said Abu Dhabi has recognized the creative industries as a crucial sector that contributes significantly to its economy and society. It is one of the top priority sectors in the region.
“We are proud to drive Abu Dhabi’s vision of becoming a leading global destination for content creation through twofour54 Studios. It will take film and TV production to the next level, creating jobs and contributing to the local economy following its completion in 2025,” Dhaheri added.
Meanwhile, CEO of twoufour54 Mark Whitehead noted over the past 15 years, twofour54 has assisted in the creation of numerous productions, gaining a strong reputation and extensive knowledge of the film industry with the aim to encourage creativity, support emerging talent, and provide a top-tier platform for filmmakers to bring their visions to life.
