The world’s largest crypto exchange, Binance, reportedly offered training programs and regulatory bodies to representatives of Ukrainian law enforcement authorities, according to Bitcoin News.
Similar to what it had done in a number of countries over the past year, Binance organized online seminars for Ukrainian representatives on cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies. The online courses included introducing Binance’s anti-money laundering policy and methods to detect and prevent fraud.
Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the Ukrainian Cyberpolice, which is the cybercrime combatting unit of the National Police of Ukraine (NPU), and the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) took part in the seminars.
In this regard, Binance General Manager for Ukraine and Central Europe Kiril Khomyakov said Ukraine, during its war against Russia, faces daily challenges at different levels, noting: “Among them are financial crimes that threaten the stability and security of the country’s financial ecosystem. Our goal is to unite efforts to prevent cybercrime and, in particular, the financing of terrorism.”
Ukrainian law enforcement agencies managed to thwart a fraud scheme making €200 million a year by luring investors through call centers across Europe. Last year in March, Ukraine’s Cyberpolice began to accept crypto donations. The European country is pioneering in crypto adoption.
Binance also offered educational programs in the crypto sector for a number of countries over the past year, including, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan.
Recently, Binance is trying to be closer to its community to gain their loyalties. It launched a new feature through which its users can provide the company with feedback and comments in a long-lasting and dynamic way.
Binance’s users can even provide suggestions and ideas for product improvements, as this new tool comes as a part of a multi-phase project to enable the leading exchange to take part in its product roadmap. Binance’s main goal for this feature is to gather its community to suggest new features that it wants to see implemented on the exchange.
