Chalhoub Group Launches SOL3MATES OG NFTs on May 4

Chalhoub Group’s web3-native sneaker brand, SOL3MATES, will launch its first NFT collection for sale, dubbed “SOL3MATES OG NFTs,” on May 4.

The SOL3MATES OG NFTs collection consists of 10,000 digital collectibles, which will be available for sale for a limited time at a price of 0.03 ETH ($55) for each one. They will be available on the luxury NFT marketplace Exclusible for 48 hours or until the quantity finishes, according to Arab News.

The SOL3MATES OG NFTs owners will enjoy exclusive membership benefits, including early access to future collections, preferred pricing, free merchandise and more. The NFT holders will have the priority for accessing the limited-edition sneaker drop from SOL3MATES “Sirocco 1,” which is designed in cooperation with French designer Kacimi Latamène. The sneakers will be available for pre-order in September and are expected to be delivered by the end of the year.

And of course, NFT holders will enjoy preferred pricing and delivery before the public.

In this regard, Head of Corporate Innovation at Chalhoub Group and Founder of SOL3MATES Nick Vinckier said the goal behind the sneakers is to create something born from the Web3 technology and the launch of the NFTs aims to add value to this community.

“We are a sneaker brand first, and an NFT project second. We aim to create the sneaker brand of the future, born from web3 technology and mechanics such as gamification, community, and decentralization. The entire customer journey is created in such a way that we merge the best of the virtual and physical experiences. With the launch of our first collection, and all future collections, our focus is on adding value to our community over time,” Vinckier noted.

Earlier in December, Chalhoub group released a report showing that there is a high level of awareness across the Gulf countries about NFTs, metaverse, and cryptocurrencies, especially among younger and high-income males.
