Swiss investment bank Credit Suisse collaborated with the Swiss Football Association (SFA) to release a new NFT collection to support women’s football in Switzerland.
The innovative collection, minted on Ethereum, displays 756 NFTs of digital portraits of the players of the Swiss national football squad. According to the Coin Desk website, all the proceeds of the collection will be donated to support the national team and organizations that empower female footballers.
As of July 11, the 756 NFTs will be available for sale on CSX, Credit Suisse’s digital banking application. They will be available till August 31. Moreover, the NFT collection will be for purchase in three packages, ranging between 150 to 10,000 Swiss francs (about $167 to $11,000). Each package will come with specialized benefits for NFT holders, including a physical artwork counterpart, a meet and greet with the players, and a signed jersey.
In this regard, Head of Partnerships and Sponsorship at Credit Suisse Sandra Caviezel said she is excited about using the NFTs as a funding tool to support women’s football in Switzerland, pointing out the fund will also be for girls’ football projects.
Meanwhile, Daniel Gorrera, the head of digital assets Switzerland at Credit Suisse noted: “When we designed the offering, we consciously attempted to make it easy for the user to engage in the evolving NFT world. The collaboration not only introduces an engaging new way to appreciate art but also lays the foundation for the innovative utilization of digital assets in novel financing and service models.”
It is worth noting that Credit Suisse teamed up with well-known Swiss artist Daniela Filippelli to benefit from her artistic talent and creativity in developing the NFT collection.
