From Fashion to Web3, Ghizlan Guenez Supports Arab Women

The third generation of the internet, known as web3, gained wide popularity in the Arab region. Prominent Arab persons began to enter web3 in light of its gradual shift. One of these eminent persons is the famous entrepreneur Ghizlan Guenez.
Who Is Ghizlan Guenez?
Guenez is an Algerian entrepreneur, who is living in Dubai. She graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a bachelor’s degree. She started her career by working in the financial resources field for over 10 years.
Shift to Fashion
After being in the domain of financial resources for over 10 years, Guenez decided to shift to fashion after noticing that Arab women laboriously find elegant and modest clothing at the same time.
Hench, Guenez set up her first fashion project named “The Modist” in conjunction with International Women’s Day in 2017. The Modist is an online shopping site specializing in showing and selling modest clothing for women. The site has succeeded in attracting large investors and international brands in a very short period.
Heading for Web3
Guenez decided to enter the web after achieving great success and meeting Arab women’s needs. She entered web3 from a different gate as she wanted to educate women on the third generation of the internet, especially the non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
She said, in a video on Twitter, that women’s volume of sales in traditional art markets is 50% lower than that of men, adding women’s artworks in the field of NFT represent only 16%, while their sales represent 5% of the total sales.
She attributed these incompatible figures to an old-fashioned belief which claims that technology is dominated by males. Therefore, Guenez decided to change this perspective and make a radical change by announcing her NFT project called “Queen Mode.”
What Is Queen Mode?
Queen Mode is an NFT collection that consists of 9,999 NFTs of women wearing different styles of crowns. Using this collection, Guenez aims to create a community of like-minded women in which they can connect and elevate each other.
She shoulders the responsibility of empowering women around the world to use the tools of web3 in terms of her vision to support women’s rights in all fields and pave a new way for the coming generations of young girls.
