Ashira Fox, a talented artist, is contributing to the ongoing efforts to support Maui’s recovery from the recent wildfires that conquered the Hawaiian island through NFTs.
She creates highly digitized still images, or scanographs, which she sells as NFTs. To help raise funds, Fox has announced a 48-hour open edition NFT sale on Rarible.
The featured artwork is a scanograph of a white plumeria flower, a common sight in Maui, where tourists can witness hundreds of its varieties on tours.
All proceeds from the sale will go to the Maui fund set up by the crypto donation firm, the Giving Block. The NFTs in the open edition will be priced at 0.009 ETH ($150).
In addition, Fox highlighted the Maui fund of the Giving Block and provided a direct link to it. They also informed people that the company will match the first $500,000 donated, which will bring the total to $1 million. As of the time of this article’s publication, the Giving Block has received donations totaling over $133,700.
There are numerous other charitable organizations, such as the American Red Cross, Maui Strong Fund, and Maui United Way, that are committed to providing aid and support to individuals who have been displaced or have suffered the loss of loved ones.
Numerous charities have already reaped the benefits of utilizing NFTs. These digital assets can serve as an excellent means of generating revenue through auctions, providing organizations with the opportunity to collect funds in an open and honest manner. Additionally, NFTs can help in attracting new supporters and bolstering brand recognition.
