Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao urged governments around the world to adopt and regulate the crypto industry instead of fighting it, <a href="https://news.bitcoin.com/binance-ceo-most-governments-understand-crypto-adoption-will-happen-regardless/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bitcoin News reported</a>. 



While speaking about cryptocurrency regulation after the bankruptcy of FTX during a Binance event in Greece, Zhao said: &#8220;I think most governments now understand that adoption will happen regardless. It’s better to regulate the industry instead of trying to fight against it.&#8221;



Zhao predicted that the small countries would be the first states to add cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin to their reserves then the remaining country will follow the trend.



The CEO of Binance noted that the crypto scene witnessed many events over the past two months, thinking that the industry is now healthier. He asserted the crypto businesses are not bad just because of the FTX collapse.



In a move to restore confidence in the crypto industry, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange announced allocating $1 billion to set up a recovery fund with an intent to increase that amount to $2 billion soon if the need arises.



Binance has already received a total of about $50 million in an initial commitment from seven investment firms, including Jump Crypto, Polygon Ventures, Aptos Labs, Animoca Brands, GSR, Kronos, and Brooker Group.



Binance&#8217;s recent move aims to support the most promising and highest quality firms and projects which are based on the latest technologies and entrepreneurs, who are facing remarkable, short-term, and financial difficulties without committing faults on their own.



Earlier this month, Zhao compared the FTX collapse with the financial crisis of 2008, warning of an avalanche effect. He pointed out that the consumers&#8217; confidence has been shaken, a matter which needs a few years to be stabilized.



FTX, once valued at $32 billion, collapsed in a matter of days after the CEO of Binance said his exchange would liquidate its FTT tokens, a matter that led to the plunge of FTT value.

Binance CEO Urges Governments to Adopt Crypto Instead of Fighting It

Binance, one of the biggest crypto platforms, announced offering free courses online to educate crypto users on cryptocurrency, blockchain, Web 3, and the metaverse.



Through Binance Academy, the courses come under the title of &#8220;Binance Learn &amp; Earn.&#8221; Binance and non-Binance users can complete the courses. But it is free of charge for Binance users, <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/binance-launches-free-crypto-courses-and-provides/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">according to Bitcoinist</a>.



The Beginner Track consists of courses, which are covering the fundamentals of the crypto world and blockchain, decentralization, Web 3.0 and metaverse, and trading and investment strategies. The intermediate and advanced levels will be available in the future.



The initial phase of the learning program is now available on Binance Academy&#8217;s website, which is &#8220;Blockchain Fundamentals.&#8221;



After completing the Beginner Track and quizzes, users will obtain one NFT certificate. The courses are only available in English, however, they will be available in other languages in the coming weeks.

In this regard, Binance Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer He Yi asserted the importance of empowering builders and creators in the crypto world as they shape its future, adding the blockchain industry is at its beginning as concepts like NFTs and metaverse are coined.



&#8220;Binance, the industry leader, bears great responsibility for education and we will continue to push innovation through education,&#8221; He Yi noted.



Millions of users viewed or read Binance Academy’s learning courses, in which it cooperated with well-known names in the education domain, such as Harvard, Oxford, and MIT.



Binance&#8217;s move comes within a framework to pay more attention and focus on empowering the community as a whole above everything else, along with Binance’s Recovery Fund for crypto projects facing liquidity crises.

Binance Offers NFT Certificates after Completing Free Crypto Courses

Ukraine&#8217;s Kharkiv Arts Museum, in collaboration with Binance NFT, an NFT platform, announced the launch of a set of digital tokens to be auctioned on the Binance marketplace.



The auction, which started today and lasts for a week, aims to allocate funds for the museum’s activities to restore work and secure more jobs amid the ongoing war on the European country from Russia.



The collection will feature artworks by Ivan Aivazovsky, Albrecht Dürer, Simon de Vlieger, Georg Jacob Johann van Os, and other artists.



The displayed NFTs will be divided into three categories; gold which includes five artworks, starting from $1,000 Binance USD (BUSD).



The second category is silver which includes five NFTs starting from $750 BUSD.



The last category is bronze which includes five artworks with a price starting from $500 BUSD.



The museum attempts to cross borders and showcase its masterpieces as NFTs in the digital world everywhere using Web 3.0 technologies.



Meanwhile, Head of Binance NFTHelen Hai said: “Throughout the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, digital assets have played an important role in providing fast, efficient, and simple help to those in need. Together with the Kharkiv Art Museum, we will present the NFT collection which combines Web3 technology and pieces of art that the museum preserves so carefully.&#8221;



She wished that the NFTs would catch the attention of art lovers and enhance the existence of the museum.



After a month of its launch, Binance NFT achieved 25 million BUSD, making it one of the fastest-growing NFT platforms around the world. Overall, the NFT platform recorded $40 million BUSD since its debut, selling over one million Mystery Boxes.



Since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Ukraine headed for selling digital assets on the metaverse to fund its army.



In March, Ukrainian Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced that his country would sell NFTs based on the timeline of the Russian invasion to keep the memory of the war.



The NFTs, named &#8220;Meta History: Museum of War,&#8221; is a collection of tweets, news stories, and illustrations based on the ongoing war. The collection uses the blockchain platform Fair.xyz to facilitate its sales.



The embattled country announced that it had raised more than $54 million so far through cryptocurrency donations in order to fund its army and relief efforts.

Kharkiv Art Museum Launches NFTs to Be Auctioned on Binance

Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world, plans to expand its footprint in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA) after reports of a surge in users in the region.



<a href="https://www.binance.com/en/blog/markets/binance-ramps-up-web3-adoption-in-the-mena-region-9207860706271326846" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Binance reported</a> a 49% growth in user sign-ups in MENA during 2022 so far. The world’s leading cryptocurrency exchange attributed this increase to the growing interest in virtual assets thanks to remarkable government initiatives that encouraged businesses to enter this world.



It pointed out that the MENA’s support of virtual assets and blockchain raised awareness of the importance of the virtual world and drove Web 3.0 adaptation.



To cope with the increasing number of users and partnerships, Binance increased the number of its employees to 400 in Dubai alone, including additions to the executive directors&#8217; team.



In this regard, Regional Head of MENA at Binance Richard Teng described this level of growth in users and expansion in new employees as encouraging, especially in the United Arab of Emirates (UAE).



&#8220;We are witnessing rapid adoption of blockchain technology in the region and we believe there is huge potential for the UAE to soon become a leading virtual asset hub,&#8221; Teng said.



Teng pointed to his company&#8217;s exciting plans for the MENA region, noting that Binance is committed to closely working with local regulators to set up a safe and secure ecosystem for its users.



According to Teng, Binance will continue its cooperation with officials in Dubai and the UAE in general to develop a strong virtual infrastructure protecting the investors and markets.



The cryptocurrency exchange deepened its presence in the MENA region lately. In the UAE, it inked a partnership agreement with Majid Al Futtaim, the retail giant in the UAE, on enabling customers to buy virtual assets at Majid Al Futtaim’s different facilities as well as signing partnerships with Virtuzone, Palazzo Versace, and Jebel Ali Resorts.



Also, In September, Bahrain-based EazyPay partnered with Binance to launch the first regulated and approved crypto payments service offering in the Kingdom, Binance Pay.
