Former US president Donald Trump&#8217;s NFT collection made a surprising comeback after the first five weeks of its release, recording a remarkable surge over the past day.&nbsp;



Trump&#8217;s NFTs were all sold out upon their release directly, but their price significantly dropped. Currently, the sales are skyrocketing again<a href="https://decrypt.co/119611/trump-nfts-back-from-dead-daily-sales-surge" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">, according to Decrypt website</a>.&nbsp;



Total daily sales volume for the official Trump Digital Trading Cards collection grew around 800% from Tuesday to Wednesday, jumping from about $34,000 worth on Tuesday to over $306,000. According to data from the analytics platform&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.cryptoslam.io/trumpdigitaltradingcards?tab=historical_sales_volume" rel="noreferrer noopener">CryptoSlam</a>, the total sales of Trump&#8217;s NFTs grew more than 193% over the past week, recording $863.517 million.



According to data from&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://nftpricefloor.com/trump-nft-digital-trading-cards" rel="noreferrer noopener">NFT Floor Price</a>, which tracks the prices of the NFTs listed on marketplaces, the floor price of Trump&#8217;s NFT reached more than $517.2 at the time of writing.&nbsp;



Decrypt reported that there is no main reason for this sudden increase, however, some Twitter users attributed this rise to the anticipated comeback of the former US president to social media platforms&nbsp;



On December 15, Trump released 45,000 non-fungible tokens portraying him in various positions and situations. Named “the&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://collecttrumpcards.com/" rel="noreferrer noopener">Trump Digital Trading Cards</a>“, the collectibles, which are similar to baseball cards, are minted on the Polygon blockchain.&nbsp;



Each of them costs $99 and could be bought in Ethereum or fiat currency. All the purchased cards can be stored in a cryptocurrency wallet from MetaMask or Coinbase.&nbsp;

This came in his announcement on Thursday on Truth Social, the social media platform, he founded last year. Named &#8220;the&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://collecttrumpcards.com/" rel="noreferrer noopener">Trump Digital Trading Cards</a>&#8220;, the collectibles, which are similar to baseball cards, are minted on the Polygon blockchain. Each of them costs $99 and could be bought in Ethereum or fiat currency. All the purchased cards can be stored in a cryptocurrency wallet from MetaMask or Coinbase.&nbsp;



Customers can be awarded a dinner banquet with Trump if they purchased 45 NFTs at once worth $4,445, <a href="https://www.coindesk.com/web3/2022/12/15/trump-announces-99-digital-trading-card-nfts/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">according to Coin Desk</a>.&nbsp;



According to the collection website, each Trump Digital Trading Card has a unique pre-assigned rarity as some will be one-of-one, while others will be limited to 2, 5, 7, or 10 copies. It stressed that no card would have more than 20 copies in existence.&nbsp;



Any customer, who purchases one of the digital trading cards, will be automatically directed to &#8220;sweepstakes&#8221; that could include a zoom call with Trump, a cocktail hour at Mar-a-Lago, or a dinner in Miami.&nbsp;



The site also shows a promotional video from Trump, in which he says: &#8220;Each card comes with an automatic chance to win amazing prizes like dinner with me. I don&#8217;t know if it&#8217;s an amazing prize, but it&#8217;s what we have.&#8221; It added that the revenues from selling the NFTs would not be directed to Trump&#8217;s 2024 presidential campaign or any political purposes.&nbsp;



The release of the Trump NFT collection raised controversy as the former US president said he was not a fan of the cryptocurrency in July 2019, however, he appeared very enthusiastic while announcing his NFTs.&nbsp;



It is worth mentioning that Melania Trump, the former US First Lady, released her NFT collection, &#8220;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.coindesk.com/business/2021/12/16/melania-trump-pitches-nft-plans-cobalt-blue-eyes-captivate-crypto-twitter/" rel="noreferrer noopener">Cobalt Blue Eyes</a>&#8220;, a year ago. She sold them using the Solana cryptocurrency.&nbsp;
