Sega, a well-known video game company, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Line Next, a mobile messaging firm Line division, to develop a Web3 game for the blockchain gaming platform Game Dosi.



Under the MoU, Line Next will utilize one of SEGA’s immensely popular game IPs and develop it into a Web3 game. Through this collaboration, Line Next will display the new title GAME DOSI and support NFT production, digital payments, and marketing activities. This partnership comes as a part of Line Next&#8217;s plan to popularize Web3 gaming, Line Next said in a press release.



In this regard, CEO of Line Next Youngsu Ko said: &#8220;LINE NEXT is pleased to be teaming up with SEGA to bring some exciting gaming to the Web3 space for gamers around the world. Through this partnership, GAME DOSI will provide Web3 content that anyone can easily enjoy, including SEGA fans.&#8221;



Launched in May, GAME DOSI is a <a href="https://upyo.com/en/news/tags/web3-projects">Web3 projects</a> gaming platform that provides user- and game-centered services under the slogan &#8220;Gamer First, Web3 Next.&#8221;



It is worth mentioning that Sega has stepped back from developing NFT projects for its Sonic The Hedgehog and Yakuza franchises, however, it collaborated with third parties like Line Next to embrace the Web3 industry. Sega&#8217;s decision to withdraw comes in terms of crimes, rug pulls, and scams increasingly happening in the crypto world and it wants to avoid any harm that could affect its beloved games and characters.



According to data gathered from Google Trends, which focuses on the relative interest in terminology relating to Web3 games, the report found that the UAE is one of the most important distinct markets in the Web3 industry, along with China and Vietnam, which witnessed a decline.

Sega Collaborates with Line Next To Develop Web3 Game for Game Dosi

RAK Digital Assets Oasis (RAK DAO), a free zone in the UAE&#8217;s Ras Al Khaimah allocated for crypto companies, inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the HBAR Foundation to support its ecosystem members.



According to the deal, RAK DAO&#8217;s members will be granted a program that helps them to access to leverage the use of the Hedera blockchain, Cointelegraph reported.&nbsp;



&#8220;We&#8217;re thrilled to join forces with the @HBAR_foundation, empowering entrepreneurs to build on the #Hedera network. This collaboration opens doors to a comprehensive grant program, expert support, and a thriving #ecosystem to scale innovation,&#8221; RAK DAO tweeted. 



In this regard, RAK DAO Chairman Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi told Cointelegraph that cooperation with HBAR Foundation will enhance the sustainable growth of RAK DAO&#8217;s ecosystem and push Ras Al Khaimah to be a global leader in the digital economy.



&#8220;By creating and enabling the world’s first licensed Web3 ecosystem, we are facilitating the seamless exchange of information, connecting businesses across sectors, and paving the way for synergistic relationships to flourish,&#8221; Sheikh Mohammed noted.&nbsp;



Under the MoU, RAK DAO&#8217;s startups will get specialized support in the fields of technology, business development, and marketing, in addition to adopting new ideas in the Web3 space. RAK DAO and HBAR will cooperate in launching other initiatives, including startup pitching sessions, and debuting joint projects such as venture studios or accelerators.



The UAE free zone is a purpose-built and innovation-enabling free zone for non-regulated activities in the virtual assets sector. It is considered the first of its type in the world as it will be specialized for digital and virtual asset companies, which are working in the fields of the metaverse, blockchain, utility tokens, DAOs, NFTs, virtual asset wallets, and Web3-related activities.

RAK DAO’s Startups To Leverage Use of Hedera Blockchain

The first Web 3.0 summit in Jordan will be held on March 12 and 13, organized by well-known events organizer AFAQ Group, Cryptopolitan reported.



The distinctive event will gather Web 3.0 speakers, blockchain developers, metaverse adopters, NFT artists and creators, investors, crypto traders, fintech start-ups, financial institutions, government officials, and DeFi &amp; Dapp projects together under one umbrella in Amman.



The summit is expected to explore opportunities and initiatives in the fields of Web 3.0, metaverse, and blockchain, in addition to NFTs and crypto technologies and the future of decentralized finance.



In this regard, AFAQ Group Chairman Khaldoun Nusair said his company is excited to take the initiative to enhance the Web3 environment in Jordan among government officials, businesses, and communities, noting: &#8220;While the world is quickly turning decentralized, studies show that the region is widely adopting Web 3.0-based technology and becoming a promising market as well as a central hub.&#8221;



Through the event, an educational program will be launched for the attendees. The training will be provided by an international Web3 &amp; blockchain educational certification institution.
