Out of the top 20 blockchains, Ethereum had the lion’s share of the NFT sales seven days ago, accounting for around 46% of the total sales.&nbsp;



Again, Bitcoin became in second place in terms of NFT sales for the past week, accounting for over 38% of the total sales (<a target="_blank" href="https://www.cryptoslam.io/blockchains/mythos" rel="noreferrer noopener">$</a>86.50 million), a 288.28% increase from the previous week.&nbsp;



Most of the blockchains over the past week saw growth in sales except Polygon, Mythos Chain, and Immutable X. Blockchains of Solana, Mythos Chain, Immutable X, Polygon, Flow, and BNB Chain followed Bitcoin regarding the total sales over the past week, respectively.&nbsp;



Most of the NFT collections witnessed a high increase in their sales, topped by CryptoPunks (1332.80%%), $SHIB BRC-20 NFTs (5435.55%), and Art Blocks (556.92%).&nbsp;

NFT Sales on Polygon Hiked 103% over Past Week

Theft of NFTs has decreased for the fifth consecutive month as NFT market sentiment continues to remain weak.



Recent research shows that stolen NFTs in July were valued at $1.73 million. This is a 24% decrease from the previous month, which had $2.27 million in thefts.



Moreover, it is down almost 90% from the worst month of the year, February, which saw $16.2 million in NFT thefts. Stolen NFTs are sold quickly, as half of the stolen NFTs were sold on various marketplaces within 165 minutes, according to PeckShield.



According to the report, Blur is the most popular marketplace among NFT thieves, accounting for 67.3% of all resales. Opensea comes in second place with approximately 20% of the stolen NFTs being sold on its platform. Shockingly, over $40 million worth of NFTs have already been stolen in the year 2023.



The NFT market had a rough month in July as the trading volume for NFTs decreased by 29% to $632 million in July, while the total number of <a href="https://upyo.com/en/news/tags/nft-sales">NFT sales</a> fell by 23% to 3.7 million. This decline follows a previous report by DappRadar indicating a 38% drop in NFT trading volume during the second quarter of this year, according to BeInCrypto.



In June, the company experienced a 44% decrease in the number of unique daily active wallets in the NFT sector. In May, DappRadar observed a 44% decline in NFT trading volume. This month, the market has continued to shrink, with DappRadar reporting a 19% drop in the number of daily active wallets to 70,338, accounting for only 4% of the industry&#8217;s overall activity.



Blockchain analyst Sara Gherghelas attributed this drop to many reasons, including the overall market downturn since the second half of 2022, the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum, and the wild hype and speculation around NFTs that led to many scams and rug pulls.

Most of the NFT collections witnessed a growth in their sales, except Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and Gods Unchained Cards, whose sales declined by 42.90% and 20.44%.&nbsp;



Regarding the NFT price floor, BAYC is still in second place in terms of the highest floor value at $53,511, following CryptoPunks, whose floor was just $88,041, according to&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://nftpricefloor.com/" rel="noreferrer noopener">data</a>&nbsp;from nftpricefloor.com.



The most expensive NFT sold last week was CryptoPunks #3307, which was sold at only $916.703 million. The following top expensive NFTs sold over the past seven days were priced from $433,260 to downwards.&nbsp;



As for the NFT marketplaces, Blur leads the NFT marketplaces followed by OpenSea. Blur’s sales over the past week reached $51.3 million, while the sales on OpenSea were $18.34 million.&nbsp;

NFT Sales Increased In 1st Week of August

The NFT market had a rough month in July as the trading volume for NFTs decreased by 29% to $632 million in July.



This decline follows a previous report by DappRadar indicating a 38% drop in NFT trading volume during the second quarter of this year, according to BeInCrypto.



In June, the company experienced a 44% decrease in the number of unique daily active wallets in the NFT sector. The previous month, in May, DappRadar observed a 44% decline in NFT trading volume. This month, the market has continued to shrink, with DappRadar reporting a 19% drop in the number of daily active wallets to 70,338, accounting for only 4% of the industry&#8217;s overall activity.



The NFT market was not the only sector that suffered in July. The total value that the DeFi sector holds has decreased by 2.27% and currently stands at $75.91 billion. Unfortunately, this decline in DeFi&#8217;s value is not expected to bring any happiness to NFT traders.



Blockchain analyst Sara Gherghelas attributed this drop to many reasons, including the overall market downturn since the second half of 2022, the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum, and the wild hype and speculation around NFTs that led to many scams and rug pulls.



Some people have questioned the value of NFTs, arguing that they are simply digital assets that can be easily copied. As a result of these factors, the NFT market has cooled significantly in 2023. The total trading volume of NFTs has fallen by more than 90% since its peak in January 2022. The average price of an NFT has also fallen by about 70%, according to Gherghelas.

The NFT sales over the past week witnessed a slight increase, as they went up by around 8%, recording 50.18% according to Cryptoslam, an NFT data aggregator.&nbsp;



Over the past seven days, the NFT sales amounted to more than&nbsp;$107.745 million, over&nbsp;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.cryptoslam.io/blockchains/ethereum" target="_blank">$69.690</a>&nbsp;million of which were from the Ethereum blockchain, an 17.14% increase from the previous week.



Out of the top 20 blockchains, Ethereum had the lion’s share of the <a href="https://upyo.com/en/news/tags/nft-sales" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NFT sales</a> seven days ago, accounting for more than 64% of the total sales. 



While Solana replaced Bitcoin after being in second place in terms of NFT sales, accounting for only 6% of the total sales ($<a target="_blank" href="https://www.cryptoslam.io/blockchains/solana" rel="noreferrer noopener">6.513</a>&nbsp;million), 11.57% up from the previous week.&nbsp;

However, the past week saw an increase in sales for some blockchains, topped by ImmutableX (42.69%) and BNB Chain (37.79%) and for NFT collections also, like Pudgy Penguins (313.75%) and Clonex (136.27%).

NFT Sales Grow up over 18% Compared To Prior Week

The top-selling NFT collection of BAYC recorded $16.69 million in terms of sales, representing 7.998% of the $208 million in sales in the past week.&nbsp;



BAYC also recorded the highest floor price, reaching 70.4 ETH, followed by the Cryptopunks, whose floor price hit 66.19 ETH.&nbsp;



The most expensive NFT sold over the past week was Cryptopunk #4,608, which was sold at $329,000. While the second-most selling NFT was Cryptopunk #6,994, which was sold at $283,000, followed by Otherdeed #89,263 and BAYC #7,576, respectively.&nbsp;



However, the past week saw an increase in sales for some blockchains, topped by Binance Coin (<a target="_blank" href="https://markets.bitcoin.com/crypto/BNB" rel="noreferrer noopener">BNB</a>) (62.20%) and Immutable X (8.51%) and for NFT collections also, like Artblocks (62.94%) and MAYC (8.10%).&nbsp;



In the first week of 2023, the NFT sales grew by 26%, compared to the final week of 2022.&nbsp;

NFT Sales Down around 60% in 2nd Week of 2023

The sales of NFTs in November showed some advancement compared to the prior month, as it witnessed an increase of %14.64%, recording $547.73 million at the time of writing, <a href="https://news.bitcoin.com/nft-sales-jumped-22-higher-this-month-with-568-million-in-nfts-sold-across-20-blockchains/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bitcoin News reported</a>.



According to Cryptoslam.io, NFT sales went up 4.63% over the past seven days, as well as the NFT buyers by %13.80. However, the number of NFT buyers last month plunged 32.26% over the past 30 days and the quantity of NFT transactions went down 22.68% lower than last month’s number of NFT transactions.



Out of the $547.73 million in NFT sales, $423.61 million worth of those sales were Ethereum-based NFTs. Ethereum-based NFT sales are up 32.10% higher than last month, according to Cryptoslam&#8217;s figures.



The blue-chip NFTs were Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFTs, which recorded sales worth $63.78 million, with an increase of %104.73, and CryptoPunks. The floor prices of BAYC and CryptoPunks during this period were 62.63 ether and 65.94 ether, respectively.



BAYC topped the NFTs collections in terms of sales over the past 30 days at the time of writing. Art Globbers NFTs followed BAYC NFTs in November, hitting $37.14 million in terms of sales with a jump of %84.25. BAYC and Art Globbers saw a remarkable rise in their transactions and buyers.



The top six NFTs, which saw an increase whether in sales or transactions or the number of buyers or sellers are Ethereum-based NFTs.



The blockchains that saw significant month-over-month declines include Cardano NFT sales down 58.39%, BNB shed 57.73%, Polygon NFT sales down by 67.33%, and Ronin-based and Avalanche-based NFT sales have dropped by 57.67% and %41.10 lower than the month prior, respectively.



The most expensive NFT sold over the past 30 days was Bored Ape Yacht Club #8,633 as it sold for $953,056 14 days ago, followed by BAYC #1,268, which sold eight days ago for $923,870 BAYC #232 which sold for $908,670 eight days ago. While the most expensive CryptoPunk NFT was #8,191 which sold for $438,158 28 days ago.

UPYO Gives Discounts on NFTs Up to 70%

OpenSea, the world&#8217;s first and biggest crypto collectibles and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), earned $144.5 million in the third quarter of 2022 in fees from users as most of the money goes to the creators, the Token Terminal platform said.&nbsp;



According to <a href="https://beincrypto.com/opeansea-recorded-144-5m-in-revenue-in-q3/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Beincrypto</a>, OpenSea&#8217;s profits reached only $35 million, which means 76% of the total fees go to the creators.&nbsp;



It is worth mentioning that OpenSea only collects fees worth 2.5% of the sale, while creators can set up to 10% as fees on a collection.



However, the overall sales on OpenSea, during this year, declined from $5.2 billion in January to about 349 million in September.&nbsp;



Beincrypto attributed the reasons for the decline to several factors, including the bear market, the macroeconomic conditions that affected the liquidity in the market, and the reducing interest in the NFTs.&nbsp;



The Volume of NFT Sales This Month&nbsp;



In September, the volume of NFT sales was $1.26 billion, with a decrease of 24.4% compared to August, according to Dune Analytics.&nbsp;



About 88% of the total NFT sales goes to Ethereum in September, a drop of 5% compared to 95% in August, while Solana hiked 6% in September to reach 10% of the total sales after it was only 4% in August.&nbsp;

Moreover, the number of users went up 0.5% to record more than 569,000 in September. Ethereum users fell by 9.5% to reach 393,000, however, Solana users increased by 41%, amounting to 155,000, representing 27% of the total users in September, while they were 19% in August.&nbsp;



Beincrypto pointed to a strong start in October for the NFTs, indicating that NFT sales on Ethereum surpassed $10 million over the past 24 hours, with 18,895 transactions.&nbsp;



In addition, sales on Solana increased by 28%, recording $2.1 million in 24 hours.



It is worth noting that the volume of trade of NFTs went down around 97% since the beginning of 2022, according to figures released by&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://dune.com/thomas_m/NFT-stats" rel="noreferrer noopener">Dune Analytics</a>.&nbsp;



Dune&#8217;s figures showed a decline in the trading volume from $17 billion in January this year to $466 million in September, reflecting the loss of about $2 trillion in the market capitalization of the crypto market between November 2021 and July 2022.&nbsp;
