Abu Dhabi Gaming (AD Gaming), an initiative to promote the gaming and e-sports industry in Abu Dhabi, collaborated with AA Meta, a UAE-based metaverse and Web3 development company, to bolster the gaming infrastructure in the Emirati capital.



In a statement, AD Gaming said AA Meta, through this partnership, targets bolstering the metaverse industry in Abu Dhabi and providing job opportunities for UAE residents. According to the deal, AA Meta will offer metaverse and Web3 technologies for the coming generation of gaming.



Through the metaverse and blockchain gaming, users will interact with each other in new spaces along with providing new payment solutions in new in-game economic models to present captivating experiences for all users around the world, <a href="https://www.zawya.com/en/press-release/companies-news/ad-gaming-partners-with-aa-meta-to-develop-abu-dhabis-web3-blockchain-gaming-ecosystem-qbbg8p66" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">according to Zawya</a>. 



In this regard, Chairman and Managing Director of AA Meta Hussain Al Omaeirah expressed his company&#8217;s readiness for supporting the development of the blockchain gaming community, saying the new partnership with AD Gaming offers a new way to play to earn in the metaverse.



Omaeirah noted: &#8220;This new avenue of interactive media presents an exciting career path for aspiring gaming industry talent and gamers across the world.&#8221;



Meanwhile, Director of Strategic Initiatives and Business Development at AD Gaming James Hartt hailed Abu Dhabi as a comprehensive environment for the gaming industry, adding his company is concentrating on building a community backed by Web3 technologies for gamers and game developers alike.



The metaverse is expected to contribute $15 billion to the economies of the Gulf countries by 2030 given that their governments are tapping into the virtual space, according to a study by Strategy&amp;. The UAE came second following Saudi Arabia with an expected share of $3.3 billion.

AD Gaming Seeks To Create Web3-Backed Gaming Community

Dubai hosted the first metaverse-based horse racing for the first time ever in the UAE.



The event was co-organized by Dubai Verse Cup (DVCC), the play-to-earn (P2E) metaverse-based horse racing platform, and second-to-none Dubai Racing Club (DRC), <a href="https://www.itp.net/emergent-tech/dubai-hosts-worlds-first-ever-horse-racing-event-in-the-metaverse" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">according to ITP News</a>. 



It aimed to shift the horse racing sport to another immersive level of entertainment in the virtual world. The horse racing platform gives access to its users to take part in the event using their smartphones and VR and AR devices to experience the excitement of horse racing and Breeding.



The game’s developing company (DVCC) has already launched the beta version of the platform but it targets to create an open platform that welcomes third-party users and developers to boost the metaverse-based experience.



In this regard, CEO of Dubai Verse Cup (DVCC) Vincent Isik said the platform brings horse racing which is popular in the UAE to the virtual world, adding the game could be played in a family-based system as users can create groups as families and compete with other families.



According to him, the collaboration will enable us to further develop our play-to-earn gaming model, where users gain rewards in the form of $DVCC tokens, based on their racing and breeding performance.



Winners earn rewards such as trophies and tokens, which can be exchanged for NFTs like horses, perks, skins, and avatars to make the game a thriving marketplace and competition space at the heart of the Meydan Racecourse.

Dubai Hosts First Horse Racing in Metaverse

After claiming the title of the World Cup 2022, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) secured a footprint in the virtual space after signing a licensing agreement with Upland to join the metaverse.



<a href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/argentina-football-league-scores-metaverse-partnership-after-world-cup-triumph" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">According to Coin Telegraph</a>, the agreement will take AFA&#8217;s Liga Profesional de Fútbol (LPF) to Upland&#8217;s metaverse platform to enhance interaction between football fans and the association&#8217;s teams and players.



The new experience also includes turning LPF teams, players, clubs, highlights of games, and historical moments into digital collectibles, in addition to the exclusive ownership of highlight videos of LPF matches to be turned into NFTs, a new source of income for AFA.



Under the deal, Upland will help the owners of these NFTs to set up their businesses by reselling their digital collectibles at user-owned and operated shops located on virtual properties. This will make the Upland metaverse a digital environment for creating digital assets and digital land ownership as a virtual economy.



In a press release, the Silicon Valley-based firm said: &#8220;Upland is pleased to bring The Argentine Football Association (AFA) to the Metaverse. We’re excited to expand the realm of Football Legits so that fans, collectors and players from across the globe will soon have gamified football digital collectibles that include your favorite teams, clubs, players, tickets, and in-game video footage.&#8221;



Upland&#8217;s agreement with the Argentinian association follows its deals with the FC Porto football team of Portugal and FIFA. The latter agreement with FIFA allowed football fans around the world to collect, own, and trade NFTs of legendary video highlights from the World Cup games, a deal that makes the fans grasp the functions of metaverse and Web 3.0.



All 32 World Cup teams had digital country crests, shirts, boots, posters, logos, and team mascots featured in Upland. Through Upland metaverse, fans bought virtual buildings decorated with flags of their favorite teams.



It is obvious that the world of sports engaged more in the crypto scene recently. Teams like McLaren and Red Bull Racing explored their opportunities in the Web 3.0 world and NFTs. The Don Cristiano Ronaldo partnered with Binance to release a galaxy of NFT collections in a multiyear deal.

Argentina’s AFA Forays in Metaverse with Upland

FIFA is set to launch a new metaverse-focused football gaming experience called AI League: FIFA World Cup Qatar ahead of the real-life World Cup Qatar 2022.&nbsp;



Developed in partnership with AI company Web3, Altered State Machine, the game will be playable during the championship in Qatar, expected to be launched on November 20, the same day the FIFA World Cup begins.



There will be AI-powered characters in AI League, which will give the opportunity for FIFA fans around the world to build their teams, compete with friends, win rewards, and predict matches.&nbsp;



Players who will achieve high scores on AI League’s leaderboard will win digital and physical prizes such as Vivo phones, a gaming setup, and Adidas gift cards.



While, players, who will take part in the prediction game, will unlock four unique collectibles, which will be their virtual players in the AI League. The players can also unlock exclusive FIFA-branded accessories and clothing for virtual players.&nbsp;



FIFA&#8217;s launch of the AI-based game represents a step for the world&#8217;s football governing body to expand its activities in the Web 3.0 world.&nbsp;



In this regard, Co-founder of Altered State Machine Aaron McDonald said in a press release: &#8220;The launch of our FIFA World Cup&nbsp;AI League&nbsp;is an exciting step towards our mission to lead casual gamers into the world of AI gaming in the Metaverse, and we are honored to be building the first Web3 game with FIFA.&#8221;&nbsp;



McDonald expressed his interest in bringing the world’s most popular sport into the metaverse.
